EDIT: Small lighting changes

Wishing on a dream that seems far off
Hoping it will come today
Into the starlit night
Foolish dreamers turn their gaze
Waiting on a shooting star

But
What if that star is not to come?
Will their dreams fade to nothing?
When the horizons darkens most
We all need to believe there is hope

Is an angel watching closely over me?
Can there be a guiding light I've yet to see
I know my heart should guide me but
There's a hole within my soul

What will fill this emptiness inside of me?
Am I to be satisfied without knowing?
I wish is then for a chance to see
Now all I need <desparately>
Is my star to come...

Ooh, the things I do when I'm inspired...
I did this in literally 1 day, which is a record for me.

I saw this flash: [link] while browsing around yesterday, and I just felt obligated to paint what I had thought when listening to it.

Seriously, I was on the verge of crying for an animated kitten in a flash, I had to make a picture of it. I painted this while listening to "Wind's Nocturne" 100+ times, and I even raised the pitch of the original song myself just to get a high quality version of the track used in the flash.

That said, no custom brushes, no stocks, no reference! And I can safely say that I won't listen to "Wind's Nocturne" for at least a few weeks...

Critique encouraged for the 200th time. :paranoid:

I really like tis piece. The glowing dots add a very peacefull atmosphere and she does look like she's reciting something. That is what she is supposed to do correct? I could not look at the link because of bad internet but i can still critique what i know. I like the laghter horizon wich show a time. But no picture without faults. The way she stands looks like she is about to tip over. When drawing standing people it is usefull to draw straight lines going upwards from the outside of each foot. If mor of the weight is out from between the lines then she is off balanced. To me she looks a bit off balanced bu tnot by much. This was my first Critique and i hope i did well. Very nice piece.
